TECH TABLE · MVP PRIVACY INFORMATION

Privacy

Tech Table uses your profile to match you with two nearby professionals and introduce your group. This page describes the current MVP. Operator contact details and a complete launch privacy policy still need to be added before real member recruitment.

What you provide

Your name, account email, city, country, postcode and profession. Signup also needs at least one website, Instagram or LinkedIn profile. Your neighbourhood and phone number are optional, even when postcode sharing is off. You can add a company and bio later. We don’t collect your exact address.

What your tablemates see

After a table is confirmed, its three members can see one another’s name, email, country, city, neighbourhood, profession and links. Your phone number and postcode are shared only when their sharing switches are on. These choices apply to the website and match emails. All three email addresses are visible so you can reply to one another. Administrators can review member details, including private postcodes and phone numbers, to manage the club. Your postcode is used for matching even when you hide it from matches.

Signup and the waitlist

Signup details are held in your Supabase account until you confirm your email and your profile is created. Your password is handled by Supabase Auth and is never stored in your profile. The local demo does not store passwords. If you join a city waitlist, we keep your city and email to contact you about that launch. Waitlist details are only available to the operator, not other members.

Where your information lives

In local demo mode, fictional profiles and any details you enter are stored on the developer’s computer. A browser cookie identifies your isolated demo session for seven days. Demo emails are previewed only. The production adapter uses Supabase for accounts and PostgreSQL data, and can use Resend for introduction emails once configured. No payments are collected by this MVP.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, skip an unconfirmed monthly match, or pause future matching. Details already emailed to confirmed tablemates cannot be recalled. Data export, account deletion, retention rules, and an operator support channel must be completed before public launch.

Location data

We save the postcode you type, then check its approximate location before matching you. Until that check is complete, you won’t be included in nearby matching. Changing your city or postcode requires a new location check. Your neighbourhood is optional free text.

The local demo’s example locations use NSW Government open data, extracted 25 September 2026. These are approximate locations, not travel times. This example data does not limit which postcodes you can enter.
